London, June 2018: To mark World Gin Day on 9 th June, the Royal Horseguards Hotel has launched a ‘build your own gin’ menu. Taking inspiration from the recently opened Secret Herb Garden, the hotel's talented mixologists will be on hand to personalise each tipple with a combination of botanical delights, with garnishes ranging from basil and chilli to lemon peel and lavender.
Nestled away behind Whitehall Gardens on the banks of the River Thames, and offering an incredible view across to the South Bank and London Eye, there’s no better place to excite the taste buds this World Gin Day. For the foodies out there, the accompanying menu boasts tantalising small plates including harissa and fresh mint lamb cutlets, pan-fried king prawns with thyme and chorizo, and sharing plates such as the Mediterranean Platter with houmous, halloumi, feta-stuffed peppers and pita.
So why not celebrate 24 hours dedicated to the nation’s favourite tipple this June, by choosing a delicious cocktail from the extensive menu and a side dish at the exclusive price of £12.99.* Not free on the 9 th June? Open daily from 12pm until 10pm*, The Secret Herb Garden at the Royal Horseguards Hotel will also offer ‘Gin & Tonic Masterclasses presented by Fever-Tree’, throughout the summer, on the last Thursday of every month, (28th June, 26th July, 30th August, 27th September).
The classes hosted by gin & tonic experts cost £25 per person and include three delicious G&T’s and a selection of tapas; focusing on classic versatile and specialist gins mixed with Fever-Tree’s range of premium tonics.

London, April 2018: As HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle put the finishing touches to their wedding preparations, the team at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London’s historic Whitehall have also been busy, creating an extra special afternoon tea to commemorate the happy couple’s special day.
The new Transatlantic Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea takes inspiration from both sides of the pond, bringing together the very best cakes, sweet treats and sandwich fillings to celebrate both Harry and Meghan’s heritages.

and sour cream, honey roast ham and mustard, Parma Ham and gherkins and crayfish with Marie Rose sauce.
Completing this special afternoon tea is a selection of traditional handmade sultana and plain scones, served
with lashings of Devonshire clotted cream and sumptuous strawberry jam.
The Transatlantic Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea will be served with a choice of freshly brewed loose-leaf teas, including the Royal Horseguards signature Strawberries and Cream tea, as well as a glass of Taittinger champagne to raise a toast to the newlyweds.

“We’ve taken inspiration from classic dishes from both America and the UK and brought them together in a marriage of flavours that complement each other perfectly, much like the happy couple themselves.”
The Royal Horseguards Hotel Transatlantic Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea, is available from 1 st – 31 st May 2018 and costs £39.50 per person.
In addition the hotel is also throwing an extra special Royal Wedding Experience on the 19 th of May, which includes a ticket to a private screening of the wedding , The Royal Horseguards Transatlantic Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea, live music from harpist Rebecca Toal and champagne to celebrate in style. The Royal Wedding Experience at Royal Horseguards Hotels costs £59.90 per person.
The mixologists at the hotel’s Equus Bar have also created two new cocktails to mark the special occasion, the American Beauty made with Makers Mark bourbon, blackberry jam, lemon juice and orange bitters, and the British Glory made with Plymouth sloe gin, apricot liquor and lime juice. Both Royal Wedding cocktails are available throughout May for £12.95 each.
