Exciting Refurbishment Plans

Amba Victoria Refurbishment Plans

The Grosvenor Hotel, the first of the great Victorian railway hotels has embarked on an extensive refurbishment project in preparation for the transition to becoming Amba Victoria, the newest addition to Amba Hotels which currently has two four-star hotels in London, in Marble Arch and Charing Cross.

Whilst lovingly preserving the history and heritage, the hotel’s new look and feel will be sophisticated with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Each element carefully considered and designed around creating a truly inspiring new guest experience.

When will this happen?

This exciting project has already begun on the ground floor with the newly opened Grosvenor Arms and Tea Lounge. We are also delighted to announce the opening of The Soak, a unique destination for dining, drinking and entertainment serving up a delectable choice of signature ‘Soaked’ dishes and drinks.

The remaining renovation will be phased, continuing throughout the summer and autumn with the hotel remaining fully open throughout this period. The works will be non-intrusive, with minimal disruption to our guests, if any.

What is Changing?

All of our bedrooms, suites and bathrooms will be fully refurbished. Inspired by nostalgic images of travel, designed with a contemporary twist and outstanding comfort in partnership with London-based design studio Goddard Littlefair.

This is a complete hotel refurbishment also covering meeting rooms, executive lounge, lobby and public areas.

What will remain the same is our excellent team, and their commitment to delivering warm, attentive service that surprises and delights our guests every day.
