CHANGING OF THE GUARD CEREMONY
From 19th June 2017, you can see the changing of the guard ceremony every day of the week. The ceremony lasts for approximately 45 minutes and involves one regiment taking over guard duties from another to ensure the Queen’s home is under constant security watch. In June each year, the “Trooping the Colour” event takes place on Horse Guards Parade in London in honour of the Queen’s birthday. You can also watch the parade for the State Opening Of Parliament Ceremony each year, where the Queen will travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster by horse-drawn carriage to formally open her next session of Parliament.
