GUOMAN & THISTLE HOTELS TO SECURE TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT WITH NEWLY APPOINTED IT DIRECTOR

Thistle and Guoman Hotels have appointed Dipesh Joshi as IT Director to direct and advance technology operations throughout both portfolios.  

Joining at an exciting time of development for both groups, who are undergoing expansion and re-branding programmes, Dipesh will be responsible for both the IT team and outsourced partners.  He is tasked with ensuring the technology platforms and support infrastructure can meet both brands’ ambitious growth plans.

With over 10 years experience in management of IT operations, Dipesh is already addressing the challenge of creating a technology infrastructure for Guoman’s expansion into Asia.

As an Information Technology graduate, Dipesh’s career began as an IT management trainee for British Airways.  More recently, he joins from Queens Moat House Hotels, where he oversaw the IT operations for its diverse property portfolio throughout Europe encompassing a total of seven brands.  
 
Dipesh comments: “With the investment into our IT systems well underway through Opera and EPOS upgrades, the rebrand and international development programme is really taking shape.  It’s essential that we build the foundations correctly and that any ITC functions within the organisation operate as efficiently as possible in line with our business needs.”

“We are currently reviewing and assessing our entire approach to our IT systems, which will mean that guests will benefit from streamlined, improved services and technology when they check in, request services and make cash transactions within all our hotels.”

Steve Bailey, Chief Financial Officer, added: “At a time of change and development for our brands, Dipesh’s experience will ensure our systems can assist us to deliver improved guest satisfaction -something to which Thistle and Guoman Hotels are both dedicated.”

Dipesh lives in Pinner, Harrow with his wife.
