Royal Ballet - Romeo and Juliet Kenneth MacMillan's acclaimed production of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, premièred in February 1965 with Fonteyn and Nureyev, returns to the Royal Ballet's repertoire at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Boris Gruzin conducts.

Birds Eye View - Women's Film Festival The Birds Eye View film festival is the UK's first annual film festival devoted exclusively to women in film, hosted at various venues in London including the BFI Southbank and the ICA. The festival incorporates dozens of events over nine days.

Satyagraha at ENO Philip Glass's Satyagraha, based on Gandhi's early life in South Africa, is revived at the London Coliseum in English National Opera and Metropolitan Opera's co-production. Staged by Improbable Theatre's Phelim McDermott Julian Crouch, its 2007 première was rapturously received.

Tamerlano at the Garden Handel's Tamerlano comes to the Royal Opera. Dutch mezzo Christianne Stotjin stars in the title role, while tenor Kurt Streit replaces an indisposed Plácido Domingo as Bajazet in all performances.

The Misanthrope Keira Knightley makes her stage debut at the Comedy Theatre alongside Damien Lewis in Martin Crimp's updating of Molière's The Misanthrope. Thea Sharrock directs a cast that also includes Tara Fitzgerald, Dominic Rowan and Tim McMullen.
