One Whitehall Place adjacent to The Royal Horseguards hotel is one of the most unique banquet and conference venues in London. Originally designed and built for the members of the Liberal party during the late 1800's, the National Liberal Club still maintains its original architectural splendour. Its tall, lofty ceilings, glorious faience tiling and intricate plasterwork, and a unique unsupported staircase that spirals through three storeys.
There are seven beautifully proportioned rooms for 30 to 450 guests, all with natural daylight and air-conditioning, some with views over Whitehall Gardens and the Thames. It makes the ideal location for conferences, fashion shows, awards ceremonies, weddings, dinner parties and film launches.
The Royal Horseguards hotel has a variety of its own meeting and event rooms catering for between 10 and 70 guests. This 5-star hotel in central London has seven air-conditioned private suites on the ground floor that can be used in a variety of layouts, from boardroom and classroom to private dinner.

Satyagraha at ENO
Philip Glass's Satyagraha, based on Gandhi's early life in South Africa, is revived at the London Coliseum in English National Opera and Metropolitan Opera's co-production. Staged by Improbable Theatre's Phelim McDermott Julian Crouch, its 2007 première was rapturously received.
The Cunning Little Vixen
Bill Bryden's wonderful Royal Opera production of Janácek's The Cunning Little Vixen, based on Stanislav Lolek's cartoons, returns to Covent Garden. Sir Charles Mackerras, who single-handedly introduced Janácek to Britain, conducts.
Belohlávek conducts Martinu Symphonies Live at 7
Commemorating Bohuslav Martinu's 50th anniversary, Czech compatriot Jirí Belohlávek conducts a complete symphony cycle with his BBC Symphony Orchestra at London's Barbican Hall. The second pair of concerts features perhaps Martinu's best-known symphonies, the Fourth and Fifth.
Avenue Q
Having just closed at London's Noel Coward Theatre to make room for Calendar Girls, Avenue Q transfers just up the road to Shaftesbury Avenue's Gielgud Theatre. Join bright-eyed college graduate Princeton and his all-too human puppet friends.
Tamerlano at the Garden
Handel's Tamerlano comes to the Royal Opera. Dutch mezzo Christianne Stotjin stars in the title role, while tenor Kurt Streit replaces an indisposed Plácido Domingo as Bajazet in all performances.
