London's enterprising Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment performs a complete cycle of Beethoven's symphonies at the Southbank Centre. Regarded as one of the great musical geniuses, Beethoven, in his symphonic canon, reflected titanic changes that affected early 19th-century society.

John Adams, American composer and conductor, is featured "In Focus" at the Barbican Hall this spring. He joins the London Symphony Orchestra, resident at the Barbican Hall, for two concerts including two premières.
