For most architects, designing the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden would be the pinnacle of their career. For Edward Middleton Barry, however, it was merely the overture to his masterpiece, the Charing Cross hotel. In the Betjeman Suite, we see him at the height of his powers. The exotic marble dance floor (unique in London) and pillars, elegant sculpted ceiling and glittering chandeliers are all original, providing a fitting backdrop to the biggest day of your lives.
The Betjeman Suite seats 150 guests for a wedding breakfast. And while we’ve the Victorians to thank for the natural daylight that floods in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the technology in here is as up-to-date as it comes. As well as air-conditioning, you have a full range of AV equipment at your disposal, to create precisely the mood and ambiance you’re looking for.
