Press Release Date: 01 Dec, 2009
Guoman Hotels’ five star flagship hotel The Royal Horseguards joins today the Preferred Hotel Group.
The Royal Horseguards will be one of only two London-based hotels in the Preferred Hotels & Resorts portfolio, the other being The Lanesborough.
Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a luxury collection of 185 exceptional and exclusive hotels and resorts worldwide; joining is by invitation only. The Royal Horseguards has successfully passed a scrupulous inspection of the property and its service, all of which have benefited from a multi-million pound investment since officially joining the Guoman Hotels collection in February this year.
The invitation to join Preferred Hotel Group further highlights The Royal Horseguards’ five-star standing. Guoman Hotels expects the partnership to drive international business through the Preferred Hotel Group’s global network.
The Royal Horseguards general manager Jon Beecroft commented: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be part of The Preferred Hotels Group; it underlines all our hard work in striving for the highest possible standards of service for our guests.
“We look forward to the hotel growing in reputation and stature through the additional sales, revenue and marketing support from the Preferred team.”
Chris Fradin, regional director UK and Ireland Preferred Hotel Group, commented: “Preferred Hotel Group is delighted to announce the addition of The Royal Horseguards into the Preferred Hotels & Resorts portfolio. We are committed to selectively growing the collection in the London market place and we are extremely pleased to establish a long term partnership with The Royal Horseguard’s team to develop corporate, leisure and group business.”
In addition to inclusion on the Preferred Hotels & Resorts website, directories, magazines and access to the member database, The Royal Horseguards hotel will switch from the TI chain-code to the PH chain-code on the GDS system. The switch will occur on Tuesday 1st December 2009 and Guoman Hotels is working with Preferred Hotel Group to facilitate a smooth transition.
