Celebrate National Chocolate Week with The Royal Horseguards’ decadent Chocolate Afternoon Tea
Guoman’s flagship five star Whitehall hotel The Royal Horseguards has created an unashamedly decadent treat to challenge even the most ardent chocoholics this National Chocolate Week (10 – 16 October 2011).
The Royal Horseguards’ indulgent Chocolate Afternoon Tea has been designed by the luxury hotel’s creative pastry chef Joanne Todd. Utilising incredibly delicate techniques that take many hours to craft, the special menu is a veritable cocoa heaven.
The chocolate treat starts with a deliciously spicy chocolate foam shot created with Xocomeli, a luxe dark chocolate and garnished with peppered berry salsa. This is presented with an accompanying almond streusel and a guanaja chocolate tarte with slow roasted pineapple and liquorice.
A hot chocolate or tea is served with a selection of coffee and cocoa macaroons, an ivoire white chocolate cupcake topped with orange blossom infused Chantilly further compliments the menu.
The tea, available from 10th to 16th October, is served in the hotel’s ultra-comfortable lounge area – the perfect way to spend a chilly autumn’s evening in the Capital. The deliciously decadent Chocolate Afternoon Tea is priced at £32 per person.
