With the Asia Head Quarters recently established in Shanghai, Guoman & Thistle Hotels officially enters the China market and starts its Asia exploration journey.
Guoman & Thistle Hotels was set up in London in 2002. The group has 2 hotel brands, the luxury 5-star brand Guoman and the 4-star Thistle. The Guoman brand currently has 5 hotels in central London, each hotel enjoying unique architectural, historic and cultural features. Thistle is a well-established brand in the domestic market with 34 hotels in Central London and throughout the country.
In 2009, Guoman & Thistle Hotels started its trial overseas expansion. Thistle Port Dickson on the west coast and Thistle Johor Bahru successfully opened in Malaysia. In 2010, the 1st Guoman hotel invested and managed by the group will open in Shanghai in October.
With an aim to strengthen the market exploration and expansion in China and Asia, Guoman & Thistle Hotels decided to set up the Asia Head Quarters to officially embark on the China and Asia journey.
