Award-winning mixologist Andy Pearson creates a unique cocktail collection

With four of London's most historic and unique hotels within our collection, we felt it was only fair they deserved a signature cocktails of their own. Guoman Hotels has therefore worked with award-winning mixologist Andy Pearson to delvelop a signature cocktail for each hotel. A past winner of the prestigious National Bartending Champion for the UK Bartenders Guild and having represented the UK in two world finals at the World Championships, we felt Andy was well qualified to design our exclusive cocktails. The cocktails will be available in their respective hotels from November 1st.

100% of the profits from the sale of the cocktails will go towards our charity partners, The Household Cavalry Charitable Fund and Help for Heroes, which work to raise funds for injured servicemen returning from conflicts overseas.

a.k.a. “Shame on him who drinks evil”
The Royal Horseguards cocktail has been created in honour of The Life Guards and The Blues & Royals regiments, the eldest and most senior in the British Army, which together form The Household Cavalry. “Shame on him who drinks evil” references the original moto of the Life Guards, “Shame on him who thinks evil”.

An incredibly masculine drink and inspired by British military history, The Cavalry cocktail is aimed at the more discerning drinker. Essentially, this is a very British cocktail.

The Punto Central cocktail, exclusive to Charing Cross   £9
This romantic cocktail comes in two varieties: one male, one female… but both drinks share three common tastes - apple, ginger and raspberry. Whilst the male version is mixed with Whyte & Mackay, The Thirteen and served in a very masculine martini glass, the female version is vodka-based with Chambord raspberry liqueur and served with a floating frozen raspberry.
The name reflects the Charing Cross hotel’s position at the most central point of London. The Spanish translation is in honour of The Eleanor Cross outside the hotel; one of 12 built to mark the points where the funeral procession of Eleanor of Castile stopped on route from Harby (near Lincoln) to Westminster Abbey in 1290. The twin drinks reflects the hotels wide range of clientele, offering both mid-week and weekend guests something exceptional… and best shared as a couple (although both cocktails are also available to order individually).
